This contemporary umalas villa of Villa Malaathina boasts a main two-storey residence and a number of single-storey pavilions spread throughout immaculate gardens with a 25-metre swimming pool at their centre. On one side of the main residence’s upper floor is the master bedroom suite, which is connected to a second spacious suite via a rooftop walkway and ‘sunset’ terrace. Downstairs, one side of the building houses the media room, office and open-air bar, dining and living area, while on the other side, air-conditioned indoor space includes a bar, dining, lounge and kitchen.
The grand air-conditioned library offers wonderful respite from the heat and is a great venue for informal catch-ups over a coffee or an afternoon of sport on the big screen, while the cozy home cinema room with its fabulous 62-inch television and acres of comfortable sofas is absolutely perfect for a movie night. Indoor and outdoor living and dining areas cater for casual suppers, formal dinners and long lazy lunches. Sip on a cocktail or enjoy an ice-cold beer and watch one of Bali’s spectacular sunsets from the master suite’s rooftop terrace or one of the four bar areas.

We stayed as a family of 5 for Christmas and new year we had a fabulous time and the staff were so lovely and took great care of us cooking lovely breakfasts and the chef that came and cooked what we requested the day we arrived and Christmas Day was awesome the food he cooked was so delicious
Special thanks to Apel (sorry if spelt wrong) who took care of us every day doing a great job, although may have been a bit bored as we never really asked him to do much, but he was always asking and whatever we did want was done immediately and also Ari who was overseeing the villa, you were there whenever needed it was just a quick msg on whatsapp and you appeared!! Thank you for everything
Beds very comfy large modern rooms, the only thing I would say is, we requested pool fencing as we had our granddaughter with us and it was very un-attractive and cost $100 a day, it did the job and I wouldn’t have not had it but for such a lovely villa I would have preferred something better
All in all it was a fab place to stay with a family
