Kirana Villa Ubud located on the famous Sayan Ridge, Ubud, 500 meters south of the Four Seasons Ubud Hotel and about 10 minute drive to down town Ubud, 1 hour drive form the international airport. Arguably as one of the most beautiful villa in Ubud, Kirana Villa Ubud is a fully-appointed four bedroom private rental villas in Bali. It design was beautifully capture The Ayung river gorge with breathtaking views of Bali’s major volcano range and distant rice field terraces. As quoted by the architect Made Wijaya, “The design was inspired by Arne Hasselquist’s “David Bowie House” in Mustique, on which I had worked with Linda Garland. Kirana Villa Ubud has a water garden with pavilions on a view. Added elements of the Malay house, the Balinese Balé and the Baronial guesthouses of the hill stations in Dutch colonial times. The house is very open, very transparent-the garden and scenic views are a treat as one moves around the detached palace. The villa owners were very supportive of the idea of different atmospheres in each of the bedrooms, interspersed with tranquil and airy public areas. Morocco Berber rugs and lamps were imported to add color, and soften the predominantly stone and timber architecture. Local sculptor Pintor Sirait worked on the suspended stairca and porte-cochere and Ubud-born artist Wayan Cemul carved all the bases of the stilt houses near the swimming pool. The compound houses an interesting collection of Indonesian ethnic art – both built in, as doors and windows, or as artwork accents-from Sumba, Nias, Kalimantan and North Sumatra, and a wide range of quality ikat textiles used in the soft furnishings.

We stayed as a family of 5 for Christmas and new year we had a fabulous time and the staff were so lovely and took great care of us cooking lovely breakfasts and the chef that came and cooked what we requested the day we arrived and Christmas Day was awesome the food he cooked was so delicious
Special thanks to Apel (sorry if spelt wrong) who took care of us every day doing a great job, although may have been a bit bored as we never really asked him to do much, but he was always asking and whatever we did want was done immediately and also Ari who was overseeing the villa, you were there whenever needed it was just a quick msg on whatsapp and you appeared!! Thank you for everything
Beds very comfy large modern rooms, the only thing I would say is, we requested pool fencing as we had our granddaughter with us and it was very un-attractive and cost $100 a day, it did the job and I wouldn’t have not had it but for such a lovely villa I would have preferred something better
All in all it was a fab place to stay with a family
