5 Bedroom Villa Kayu Umalas located at the end of a quiet lane in Umalas, just a short drive away from Seminyak center and Canggu’s beaches. Villa Kayu is a huge private paradise that features traditional Javanese teak wooden houses called Joglo’s, which certainly a perfect home for families and friends. Umalas still has lots of emerald rice paddies all around, providing you with a peaceful and ‘back to nature’ feel yet not too far from the islands most happening hot spots.
Bedroom Area
Villa Kayu consists of 5 fully furnished bedrooms which are dressed in white curtains and wooden walls. The rooms are equipped with plush king-sized beds, air-conditioning, writing chairs & table, mirrors, and dressing-rooms where you will find safety boxes and mini-bars for your convenience. The master suite is found in a secluded stand-alone Joglo, for extra privacy. This spacious bungalow features leather carpets and beautiful teakwood floors with stunning painting hangs on the wall. Two of the guest bedrooms share one Joglo, great for families and the third guest bedroom is tucked in a private Joglo.
All rooms are adjoined by a spacious dressing room and beautiful en-suite bathroom that partly outdoor. They feature grand double stone sinks, laundry baskets, rain showers, large rock bathtub and mirrors. The bathrooms are set amidst greenery giving them a tropical vibe. You can soak away for hours amidst all the beautiful greenery and flowers enjoying the tropical breeze under the tropical sky.
Living & Dining Area
The main living room is tucked in a massive wooden Joglo with its charismatic high soaring roof and an open air concept. The overall ambiance is rustic, sophisticated and ethnic. The room has large comfy couches, and a variety of hand carved antique furniture and artwork shipped in from all over Indonesia. You may not expect it in such as traditional villa, but villa Kayu also features superb modern facilities. In fact there is a separate family Joglo that features a cinema lounge and a billiard table to keep young and old entertained.
By the living area is the beautiful dining area with grand dining table and wood chairs perfect for family meals and feasts. The open-space dining area is adjoined by a fully equipped kitchen overlooking the swimming pool and garden.
Outdoor
This 4 bedrooms luxury villa, filled with exotic tropical garden, tribal artwork, peaceful lotus ponds and stunning swimming pool sparkling at the end of the garden. By the side of the pool are comfortable sun loungers and canopied nest like daybeds where you may enjoy sunbathing or relaxing naps.

We arrived late due to our flight delay and were so tired. All we wanted to do was just to get into our rooms and rest. After checking in and was ushered to our rooms, we were amazed by the effort that the crown team has put in for us.
They knew that it was our anniversary and they made it extra special for me and my husband. When we entered the villa, we were surprised by a huge rubber duck sitting by the pool. They had also prepared for us a chocolate cake saying “Happy Anniversary” which I was definitely touched that they even bothered to go to this extent. Once I entered the room, the bed was decorated with heart-shaped rose petals, 2 stalks of fresh red rose and of cos the towel swans.
As days go by, it got better. The breakfast was on time and was served in bed. They changed our towels daily. We requested a change of bed sheet as my husband spilled his cup noodle on the bed and they did it immediately.
They also have bike rental services at their villa. Which is definitely convenient for us. Overall, it was definitely worth the price as everything was beyond what we expected.
