Villa Alea truly is an amazing luxury retreat that features a traditional Javanese wooden Joglo and two bedroom pavilions, wrapping around the wonderful tropical garden where an inviting crystal clear infinity pool sparkles. The greatest features about this gorgeous villa is not only the Joglo but also the magnificent view over the rice paddies that blends in seamlessly with the lush green exotic garden. You can enjoy this enchanting view from almost anywhere in this private sanctuary and the location is also perfect, nestled in a real peaceful rural area that is actually surprisingly close to the centre of fashionable Seminyak where you can shop till you drop, wine and dine and go clubbing at Bali’s renowned beach clubs.
Beneath the high soaring Joglo roof, from where a majestic chandelier draws your attention, the interior design of this lofty living room is elegant and rustic with a polished grey marble floor, hand-crafted teak furniture and intriguing traditional artwork. There are beautiful ornamented, traditional Balinese day-beds for day-time relaxing and large plush sofas for curling up with a book book alternatively. A wide selection of books is provided in the wooden cabinets. For lovely communal dinners there is a large teak table with ten smart chairs for evenings of good food and conversation in the magical ambiance created by the light of the chandelier.
Lovers of the sun will be spending lots of time lazing by the pool on the comfy sun-beds, working on their tan while those who seek an escape from the tropical heat, after swimming some laps in the pool, can beat the heat in the alang-alang roofed gazebo, taking a day-time snooze or enjoying a traditional Balinese massage to the sounds of the wind blowing through the rice paddies.

Villa Alea houses 5 air-conditioned bedroom suites. The spacious master suite is found in a secluded stand-alone bungalow, soaked in natural light by the full length glass windows and doors that open up to the view of the rice fields and the pool. The deluxe king-size bed, draped by white curtains, promises a perfect night sleep after watching a movie in a more intimate setting on the flat-screen TV. The en-suite is also luxurious, fitted with a large black river-rock bathtub and a rain-shower. The 4 guest bedrooms are tucked together in a double storey pavilion, oppositional to the master suite. Each of these rooms features a deluxe king-size or twin beds along with a TV and DVD-player for entertainment, spacious wardrobe closets and a private en-suite with a rain-shower and all bathroom amenities needed.
All of the air-conditioned bedroom suites are beautifully furnished with a minimalist flavour, topped with crisp white linens and each is provided with a TV/DVD player with international satellite channels. The large master suite is located in a standalone bungalow and is drenched in natural light by full length glass windows. This room boasts a king size bed swathed in canopy drapes and a luxurious ensuite with a spa-style, river-rock bathtub and a rain-shower. The further 4 guest suites are located in a 2 story building opposite and feature either twin or king size beds with a wide variety of configurations to suit the guests in residence. All of these have beautifully appointed ensuites with rain fall showers.

Villa Alea is based in Kerobokan. A 10-minute road trip will get you to Seminyak – Bali’s cosmopolitan tourist hub. Your day tour’s itinerary must include the Oberoi District’s Eat Street – popular among foodies for its casual to fine dining restaurants. Standouts among these are La Lucciola, Mamasan, Metis and Sarong. Roam and you’ll hit malls, fashion boutiques, novelty shops and souvenir stores. Eventually, you will reach Seminyak Beach.
